Jon Retherford brings more than four decades of insurance expertise to VTC clients. Earning his license in 1978, he went on to lead the Goddard-Talmay Agency Inc. for 33 years as President, specializing in sub-contractor risk management as well as multi-family, rental and personal insurance lines.
“Client first has always been my philosophy,” says Jon. “That means looking at everything from the client’s perspective, empathizing with their needs and goals, and delivering a perfectly-crafted risk management solution.”
He has held numerous civic positions, including over 25 years on the board of Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, City Council, Planning Commission, Zoning Board, and Strategic Planning Task Force of Walled Lake. Jon is an avid outdoorsman, with gardening, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
